Expanded portfolio
2-Pocket Folder
We needed a folder to use for distributing sell-sheets, brochures, education materials, and evaluation paperwork. The design needed to be branded, but not product specific.
Event Signs
We were using the same two conference rooms for multiple education sessions, and needed a big, bold, easy way for participants to find their assigned session. These signs were printed on 22x28" foam-core with a gloss finish and placed on easels. I received initial concepts from the Senior Director. In InDesign, I created a gradient within the text so placement would be consistent across all 6 final posters.
Medical Device IFU
I set up multiple Paragraph and Character text styles so the text would flow easily when edited. I anchored the grey box "Note:" callouts to text within the paragraph so they would stay together regardless of how text was arranged. This document will be used by healthcare professionals learning to use a new device. Illustrations were created by the Senior Graphic Designer.
Case Report Synopsis
The team needed a one-sided sheet they could present either digitally or printed while selling the product. We already had two-sided case reports that had similar content so this design needed to complement the existing case report in addition to being easier to digest. Working with the Senior Director, I presented concepts to the Product Manager for approval.
Direct Mail
This was the first piece I worked on when transitioning from Production Artist to Graphic Designer. It was really fun to work with the Art Director to learn about product placement, typography decisions, design concepting, and creating presentation decks for executive review. Maybe you recieved one of these in your mailbox?
Medical Device Carton Design
An existing product needed a concept for a possible new look. The webbing and large logo placement were existing elements that needed to stay in the same position. I created multiple concepts and presented to Senior Director and Program Manager. I helped expand the color palette, spending quality time with the Pantone swatch book. This was a really rewarding project and I expanded my text-lockup skill-set as well as my ability to choose colors that fit in an existing palette.
Educational Poster Design
We made a poster for education and promotion of our product. Working with a rough concept from the Senior Graphic Designer, I created three options and refined the best one.
SEAC Flyers
I volunteer as Co-chair for our district's Special Education Advisory Council, it is a group that is very important to me as the parent of children on IEPs. For each meeting, I create an invitation flyer so families can access the group.
Retail Weekly Ad
While at Wunderman, I had the opportunity to work on the Stock + Field weekly ad. This spread was designed by the Art Director with placeholder images and text. As the Production Artist, it was my job to link the correct image and text, format, complete any updates, and route to Proofreading/art review. This spread was particularly challenging because it involved multiple layers and composite images (provided by the retouching department).
Industrial Equipment Brochure
While at Propulsion, I worked on updating existing brochures. These particular examples were challenging because they involved a lot of specification data that needed to be organized. I created rounded corner tables with shading and multi-directional text.
